The challenge for promoting this Ontario Science Centre exhibition was bringing out the science from something as unnatural as creatures of fantasy. We decided to let our imaginations run wild — imagination is, after all, the basis for most of mankind’s scientific theories. We developed an engaging campaign speaking to the power of imagination, contrasting media of the medieval time with 3d representations of today.

Out-of-Home
Using a combination of 3d artwork, existing exhibition imagery and custom ink illustrations, these creatures from myth and legend were made to come to life out of the billboards and into our world.
Microsite
Designed and written to resemble an explorer’s logbook, the exhibition microsite was full of hand-written notes, creature ephemera and drawings coming to life. The site housed our social media and public engagement initiatives as well as famous historical footage from around the world to ignite the public’s imagination.
