Memory is a one-minute broadcast design piece that uses expressive typography to convey a metaphor about memory as threads which build and combine to form a “tapestry of life”. The poetic narrative was written to reflect the beauty and complexity of the memory process. The typography is clean and elegant with the old style serif Adobe Jenson, accented with the swashy script Zapfino. Hilary Hahn’s rendition of Bernstein’s Serenade IV complements the visuals with the sound of cascading violin strings.
